Although the base models now feature 256GB of storage—an upgrade from the previous year's 128GB—many consumers expected to see further advancements in both storage and pricing strategies amidst the ongoing RAM crisis.

Stepping into this new series, Google's camera technology has received noteworthy updates. The standard Pixel 11 retains its triple-camera setup but upgrades the main sensor to 48MP with improved light sensitivity—56% better than its predecessor—despite not matching the size of older models. Battery capacity varies, with the standard Pixel 11 slightly increased to 4,985mAh, while the Pro models see minor reductions. Despite this, no major enhancements in charging speed accompany these models, as Google continues to utilize 30W wired charging for the standard and Pro, while the XL features 45W charging. In practical terms, this means a 55% charge for the Pixel 11 in around 30 minutes—marginally improved from last year.

Software and Longevity

Out of the box, all Pixel 11 devices will run on Android 17, backed by an impressive promise of seven years of security and OS updates, ensuring longevity. Beyond the basic OS features, the integration of Gemini Intelligence offers even richer AI functionalities that enhance user experience across various tasks, from photography to browsing.
